{Guest Post: Kris}

Good Morning!
Today I have a guest from New York City, my city, the place where I’d love to live!
She’s Kristen , Kris for friends.
She’s one of the girl I know since I’ve opened my blog. She has one of a kind blog. She’s a writer, she’s a cook and she’s a great girl.
Are you going to NYC? Are you planning a trip to NYC?
She’s the right person to ask any information about the city. She will give you any sort of advises to live the city not in a turistic way!
When Gaia asked me to guest blog I was absolutely thrilled! But then I asked myself, “What am I going to write about? Her blog is so pretty, honest and endearing!” Did I mention pretty and honest? I could post the obvious: What I do for a living. My favorite foods… yadda yadda yadda. Is that even interesting? I’m sure to most! But I’ll try and give you some deeper inside information as to who Kristen Senese really is! What makes her tick? Oh, and call me Kris!
First things first: I write and collaborate on way too many blogs!
and now a guest post here!
Where did this scattered mind come from?
I was born on July 27, 1983 on Long Island, NY. I’ll be 27 on the 27th this year! Only happens once in a lifetime! There I am down there with my mother. She passed away in 2002 from a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. It’s a terrible disease and I am saddened by the lack of knowledge of it in the medical field. It hits people like any disease- in different ways and like a ton of bricks. I for one know that if I am ever hit with a disease, I will NEVER let the doctors shove countless medications down my throat. I’ve seen what they do. There is honest fact number one about me!
Ok, apologies, I’ve hit you with the hard stuff first so that the rest of the post can be light and fluffy! I like getting the bad news first… don’t you? But it’s not so bad. My childhood has made me grow into a strong, carefree and inspired woman. I’ll take my life’s lemons and make watermelon lemonade! I digress…
I live and work full time in New York City as a Writer/Producer for Vh1. You can view my work here. It’s exciting, difficult, confusing, fun, and everything in between. It’s the perfect job for me right now, and I am currently working towards a degree in Web Design and Motion Graphics to expand my knowledge in the business. (Need a blog refresh? I’ll design for you!) I’d really love to work for myself one day. Working up the corporate latter is a great experience, but I’m not sure I could do it in ten years plus! I’m kind of a hippie you see…
I believe in the Sun, the Moon and the Stars. I think that the Earth is something we too often take for granted and everyday I am working towards a better existence. I am trying to really live life in the NOW. I think that is why I first started to blog. I wanted people I didn’t know to hear me, and I wanted to hear them. It’s a magical thing. We are all so interesting!
And yes, I love food. I cook all the time. I take pictures of the tasty eats I find everywhere… but there is a catch: I’m a vegetarian. Don’t worry; I’m not going to hit you all with a coat of red paint. I don’t have a problem with people who eat meat. It’s a free world! Who cares! Here’s a peek at some of my creations!
Flex Them Mussels
Healthy Eggplant Parmigiano
Vegetarian English Breakfast
I am constantly evolving and I think we all get more interesting as the years go by. I hope to learn from you all, and in return, I hope I’ve shared with you as well.
Many thanks to Gaia for letting me come by and tell you a little about myself, and share some goodies! I hope to see you over at my blog someday. One of them at least! HAHA!
P.S. This is my pride and joy Martin. He says hello!
