{My Special Places: 66 Bottega}

{The first day of sun}

The first day of sun after a long period of cold
brought back people in the streets and the antique market

and obviously I went out with my friends and my camera...

You know the market 'cause more than once I've showed you many pictures of it
I love it and I love to browse through stands looking for bargains and special things

Unfortunately I don't have any room left for new furnitures but I always add an old box or an old book
old buttons, old glasses

{Markets - part 1}

While in London we visited Camden Market, in Camden Town , North West London.
If you are thinking to visit it , the advise I can give you is to be there early in the morning. If you go there around lunch time you wont be able to see everything... Too much people!

If you need more information read this
Se volete più informazione leggete qui

Mentre eravamo a Londra abbiamo visitato Camden Market, a Camden Town, North West London.

I didn't remember how beautiful it is. Food from all over the world, lots of stands and a magic surprise...
the popular "Stable Market".

"Stable Market".

It's definitely the kind of place I love where you can find beautiful unusual treasures, if you look carefully!

Now I understand what Alice felt when arrived in Wonderland!

Imagine a kid in a Toy's store...
I felt the same...

The part I've love the most is the "Antique Market". Lots of vintage and antique stores.

Luggages, luggages and luggages...
Valigie , valigie e ancora valigie...

Mad Hatter: Would you like a little more tea?
Alice: Well, I haven't had any yet, so I can't very well take more...

and I din't even buy a cup....

Lots of boxes, lots of old bottles...

(Photos by me - don't use them without permission)
too many beautifl things and my little luggage....that's why I din't buy a thing (only a steel hotel teapot) and you know what?
they were really cheap!

See you tomorrow with rest of the history...

...follow the white rabbit...

{Nice finds & E-Mag Giveaway}

Back to the Antique market!
After a month of break a new season of markets has begun.
Every second weekend of every month it will be punctual at my door!

Last week I had an "home accident"...
I have broken some of my "glasses". A total mess and you can't imagine the pain!
They were with me since I moved with Mr B.!

So...
I waited for the weekend to find some new glasses footed cake plates and vases to replace them!

I've found 2 beautiful early '30 cake plates and a cute vase and the best thing is that I made a great bargain!

I use them a lot, to serve cakes and to set the table when my friends come to dinner!
I felt so terribly when it happened...

And I was so happy when I took home my new glasses!

Aren't they cute?
They are really beautiful and they make more beautiful and "elegant" my trolley!

Then , nosing around on a sunny day I've made another bargain...
Not for the price...
but for the item itself...

My last name starts with a B
Mr B has a B
B is for ... my friend's daughter name
B is for ... a "princess name"
B is for ... dad in italian
B is for ... beautiful

I've found a D too... for Mr B!

The Big Capital B has already found a place on a black wool cardigan sweater...

look forward for more finds!
Aren't you?

Now it's time for a giveaway...I'm not throwing a giveaway but I want you to participate to
MIMI'S GIVEAWAY

Mimi is a great lady of the house

You can find her at Bonjour Romance and from tomorrow also here
at her new creation
Belle Inspiration e-Magazine

and the giveaway is for celebrating the launch of the first issue that is online right now!

I'm honoured and so pleased for having her here.
She gave me the opportunity to help her (I'm one of the collaborators) and I'm thrilled to see the final result!

I've asked her to answer to two questions...

Why an e-Mag?
I think it is the wave of the future.  It is easy to use, and you have the ability to view images across two pages, without the middle crease.  Zooming in and out helps you see each detail. You are able to click on the links and go directly to the sites and blogs of advertisers and contributors.  An e-Magazine offers a full and unique experience.

What Belle Inspiration is about?
About a romantic style of living with an emphasis on keeping it all practical.  Beautiful images and interesting articles.  We want to provide a place to create, share and embrace l'art de la Vivre!

Her motto is

"Put a little ooh la la in your life"

finger crossed for you Mimi!
Thanks a lot (as you said) for your friendship most of all!

I know that you'll love it!

{Coriander Girl}

Today I've made one of the best discover of the last months...

Coriander Girl... Alison is a young girl from Canada that own a very cute flower and antique shop. As she say, she is " sunshine and dance parties " a fantastic description! Not only flowers, in her store you can find vintage treasures and locally made crafts, candles, lotions, soaps, teas... Actualy you can buy everything is in the store!

Coriander girl is also her blog, a "...blog about the little flower shop I own and anything else I feel compelled to share...". The name Coriander girl was "...inspired by my love for all things fresh and beautiful and Coriander being my favourite herb it seemed like a perfect fit..."

As soon as I came upon her charming blog I was totally thrilled. I've always dreamt to have a store like her store. Naif, beautiful, a corner of Paradise, the Eden!

I've read her blog entirely, from the beginning and believe me that I've loved every single post, pics, bouquets. I have a passion for old jars, old bottles and vases . She make beautiful bouquets in those amazing mason's jars, or old vase or unique vessels.

If you want you can ask her to make a bouquets in your own vase (Bing it from home!) or you can choose from a big range of vassels !

I feel that we have so much in common and she make me think to my dream and to the way I can pursue it!

I've made lots of questions to Alison (Alison, can you describe/introduce yourself to my reader?
When everything started? Did you aways loved flowers since you were a little girl or it's something you've learned lately in those years?Tell us a bit more about your store? When did you open?Do you have a favorite fLower? The secret for the perfect bouquet? I have so many question for you but I don't wanna bother you so this is the last question: do you have any advise to give to people that want to follow your example?)and here what she said:

"My name is Alison Westlake and I opened my little floral/antique shop seven months ago.

It was a total, dive in head first, kind of experience. I had always loved flowers and gardening but went to theatre school and became an actress in stead. I wasn't very happy auditioning for film and T.V and decided maybe it was time to do something more enjoyable with my life. I live in the most amazing neighborhood in Toronto, Canada. It's an eclectic mix of artists, crafters, foodies and gardeners. The shop came available and I signed the lease before I was totally sure what I wanted to do with it.

I knew I wanted a flower shop and to have vintage goods as well but the rest was kind of up in the air. I sat down at my computer and wrote a 40 page business plan and approached people for money. My start up costs weren't too bad. I needed a fridge and some furniture pieces which I sourced from local antique markets. The fridge was new and my biggest expense.
My back ground is in gardening, I worked for a landscaping company while I was in college and new back then that I would be doing something with flowers in my life.
I thought I'd have a shop in my forties when the acting career died down but I signed the lease on July 15 2009 at just thirty years of age!
My favorite flowers are peonies, lilacs, dahlias, wispy greens and berries of all kinds.
The secret to a perfect bouquet is making it look like you just grabbed a few stems while walking a long a garden path. It's harder to make something look natural in some ways.
I prefer unstructured, relaxed arrangements. Around my home, you'll see single stems in small vintage bottles all over the place.
My advice to anyone interested in pursuing their dreams, you have to do it. Take big risks and you will succeed. It's scary but their is nothing scarier to me than looking back on my life and regretting not having done something I wanted to do. Find a way to make the thing you enjoy be what you do everyday.
Air humping and fist pumping really helps!!

Alison you are so adorable! THANKS FOR ANSWERING...

Girls you better go visit her blog nd take a look to her store... She's a ray of sunshine in those rainy days... Anyone has seen Spring? Can you tell her that it's time to show up!?

2 things left:
