Finally has arrived...

The weather forecast has announced it since the beginning of the past week and finally...

Let it snow let it snow...

Alla fine è arrivata!

Le previsioni lo avevano detto all'inizio della scorsa settimana e alla fine ...Eccola!

Bianca , soffice, silenziosa.

Just after few hours the snow covered everything...The city is a moonscape...

the silence is amplified ...

Nemmeno dopo due ore la neve aveva già coperto tutto ...

La città si è trasformata in un paesaggio lunare, il silenzio è amplificato ...

I love it... unfortunately it never last enough!

la amo, sfortunatamente non dura mai abbastanza!

A busy weekend as usual...

I spent Saturday afternoon with Fede, Laura, Tani, Michy at Ale's house.

Ale thought us how to make beautiful Christmas cup cakes and christmas decorated cookies...

It was fun and it's always inspiring to be around them!

Believe me!

The evening was dedicated to decorations!

I made the Christmas tree...

Mr B was the supervisor of the project while I did the "dirty job"...

The story of my tree...

I was one month old and my mom took me to the doctor 'cause I had a problem to the hip...

After the visit , my mom and my granny bought the tree to celebrate that everything was fine!

The tree has almost my age...

It was the tree we had when we were kids and I'm happy that they didn't throw it away, it's very small, it's not perfect, it's not the most beautiful but it's like me, no better than me...stronger than me! 

La storia del mio albero...

Avevo un mese e la mia mamma mi portò dal medico perchè avevo un problema all'anca... Dopo la visita , mia mamma e la mia nonna comprarono questo albero per celebrare che tutto andava bene.

Siamo coetanei!

Era l'albero che avevamo quando eravamo bambini e sono contenta che non sia stato buttato via, è piccolino, non è bellissimo, non è perfetto, ma è come me, anzi è meglio di me... è più duro, forte!

Potete aggiungere un tocco di colore alle vostre decorazioni. Un classico rosso o blu, rosa, nero. Molto elegante!

I have a passion for glass and for Christmas I'll use Mercury glass!

Adoro il vetro e per questo Natale userò il "Mercury Glass".

{Weekend part 2 - Treasures}

As promised yesterday, I want to share with you what I found at the antique.

It has been a very "fruitful" weekend. I didn't have an exact idea of what I was looking for and so I started nose around. I've choosen with feelings and with the help of Mr B.

Even if we didn't need anything we found some beautiful treasures!


We bought a lot of things and we've made good deals!

The mason Ball jar was something I was looking for since ever. I have already one or two of them but they are never enough! I am a big fan of storing almost everything(craft supplies, buttons, ribbons, candies...) in glass jars or using them as vase or candle holder...



Many years ago my dad bought some Seltzer at the antique market during one of his frequent trip and since then I'm a huge fan of this amazing bottle! I've bought that for Mr B! It's Spanish, beginning of 1900. Ther's a telephone number printed above ... Just 2 numbers: 28...



Those old medicinal jars from a pharmacy of florence! I had to negotiate a bit for the price but at the end I won! Aren't they lovely?

Now I have so many glass jars, vases that I could sell them. I can't stop from buying it they are my current obsession/passion!




They found their place in a niche in the wall at the entrance. I'd love to fill it with marbles.



I've seen that lamp on saturday morning. It cought my eyes immediately 'cause it was exactly the lamp we were looking for. I called Mr B and he come to see it. We thought about it all the weekend till yesterday evening when we decided to give her a home, a warm place to stay, surrounded by people who will love and will appreciate her. I think she will love her new family! She only need a "makeover" and a new "hat" and she will be perfect!

As we were leaving I've seen this fantastic small leather trunk. My mind made a click: "What a beautiful bedside table would it be!" - I thought - and so we took him at home too!



It was covered behind many other luggages but I've seen it. I have an eye for beautiful things!





and I was right! Perfect!

Goodnight girls...I'm sorry for my lack on visiting and commenting you! be patient, I'm almost at the end!

{Un fil rouge...}

Even if is not my color, I love red.
Red is passion, red is love, red is elegant, red is Valentino, red is Chanel nail vernish, red is HOT...

I've never thought to decor my house with red, it's defenitely too much for me, but when I come across to some beautiful red objects the first reaction is "WOW!" then I feel overwhelmed form happiness... 'cause Red is Happiness!

My dad was a journalist and her typewriter reminds me when he wrote in the evening... I remember the "tic tac" sound when he pushed the letters...
